Introducing the Approach Winch Bumper Series from Ascend Fabrications! One of the lowest profile and best looking production bumpers for the 3rd gen Tacoma. This bumper is guaranteed to transform the look of your vehicle, give you an unmatched approach angle, more confidence on the trails, and get you all the likes on “Front End Friday” posts. 
 
Aside from style and fitment, it was carefully engineered with materials to take a beating while keeping weight to a minimum. The plated wing version weighs in at roughly 105 lbs with hardware. It also features integrated mounting brackets for a Diode Dynamics SS 30" lightbar and SS3 pod lights, which add performance as well as enhancing its aggressive stance.
 
Another interesting feature of this bumper is its modular design that allows the “wings'' to detach from the center section with high strength bolts. There are a few different benefits from this. First is it makes installation on the vehicle a breeze and can be easily done by a single person. Secondly, it allows for the wings or center to be swapped out in case of damage rather than needing to replace the whole bumper. Another is it allows for much more adjustability than a standard single piece design. You can slightly rotate or shim the wings of the bumper to get the perfect fitment. And lastly it allows the bumper to be packaged in a smaller box and shipped ground, saving you hundreds over what you would pay for freight on a large single piece welded bumper.
 
In addition to the traditional mounting points on the ends of the frame rails, we also included extra holes on the mounting plate of the bumper to use with high strenth hardware (included) that passes through and attaches to the frame for added winch and recovery strength.

WINCH FITMENT:
The bumper was designed using the Harbor Freight Badlands Apex 12K with synthetic line.
Other similar sized or smaller winches may fit.
Must have a 4.5"x10" mounting pattern.
Depending on winch size you might have to relocate or offset the control box and/or clock the winch drum.
Will NOT work with roller fairleads. Must be used with a hawse fairlead.
 
POWDERCOATING INFO:
Highly durable carbon black (light texture) powdercoat.
All parts are chemically cleaned, sand blasted, and coated with a zinc primer for extra corrosion resistance prior to being top coated.
If you choose powdercoat on the bumper, the lower aluminum cover will also be coated. If you would like that cover to be left raw please let us know.
On powdercoated bumpers you will also receive black stainless hardware for the aluminum cover.
Powdercoated parts are not stocked and are coated per order, which adds additional lead time before shipment.

Compatible with RT4 bumper caps. If you do not run the caps, cutting of factory bumper is required.
Cutting of fender trim/flares is required.
Currently only designed for stock body height and suspension lifted vehicles. Having a body lift will result in a gap between the bumper and body.

Plated and hybrid wing styles are interchangeable. If you would like to purchase just the wing set to change up the look of your rig, please reach out for a custom invoice.
Aluminum skid/cover is replaceable. Please reach out for a custom invoice.
On raw steel orders there may be evidence of anti-spatter spray, oils, areas with light surface rust, small amounts of weld splatter, and shallow scratches caused during manufacturing and/or shipping.
On powdercoated orders, there may be evidence of scratches or rub marks caused during handling and/or shipping. There may also be scratches or weld splatter underneath the coating. Powdercoat is NOT warrantied in any way! However we try our best to package appropriately to avoid any damage during transit.
