Introducing the 3G Tacoma Mid-Pro Prerunner bumper from Ascend Fabrications! This bumper is guaranteed to transform the look of your vehicle, give you an unmatched approach angle, more confidence on the trails, and get you all the likes on “Front End Friday” posts. Aside from style and fitment, it was carefully engineered with materials to take a beating while keeping weight to a minimum. It weighs under 50 lbs with hardware!
 
The bumper covers the important bits up front then the customer "viper" cuts the bumper the rest of the way to the fenders. This gives the customer a little more creative freedom and also allows for more options with aftermarket fenders or so you don't have to modify the bumper to work with clearanced fenders for LT or larger tires.
 
 
PRICING AND OPTIONS:
Main bumper starts at $950 uncoated.
(Optional) Modular push bar +$175 uncoated, +$225 powdercoated.
(Optional) Powdercoat main steel bumper +$350, powdercoat bumper & aluminum cover +$400.
 
 
SKID PLATE COMPATIBILITY:
Not guaranteed to work with all aftermarket skid plates.
If the skid ends just under the lower front crossmember or sticks past the front surface by less than 1-3/16", it should work. Can reach out for confirmation before ordering.
RCI, Victory 4x4, CaliRaised, CBI, and All-Pro are all compatible.
Will work with OEM TRD skids. However there is a considerable amount of overlap and it's recommended to go to an aftermarket skid. You might also need to lower the skid with spacers to avoid interference.
Will work with the oem black non-TRD skid.
 
POWDERCOATING INFO:
Highly durable carbon black (light texture) powdercoat.
All parts are chemically cleaned, sand blasted, and coated with a zinc primer for extra corrosion resistance prior to being top coated.
Optional to also have the lower aluminum cover coated. Or can leave it raw for a two tone look.
Powdercoated parts are not stocked and are coated per order, which adds additional lead time before shipment.
Powdercoat cost also includes added labor and materials to protect the bumper to make sure it has the best chance of arriving undamaged.
Powdercoat is NOT warrantied in any way!
 
LIGHTING OPTIONS:
The bumper features a slotted bracket across the top center just bellow the vehicle's grill. You can mount multiple pod lights here.
However the bumper itself is EXTREMELY tight to the front of the truck and there isn’t a ton of room. So depending on the lights you might have to modify the brackets to allow them to mount lower or farther forward.
Most 3" or smaller pods may fit without hitting the grill but are not guaranteed. You might have to modify the brackets to allow them to sit lower or trim the heat sink fins on the back of the pod.
For mounting Diode Dynamics SS3 pods, it is recommended to use our SS3 LOWERED BRACKETS.
For mounting Baja Design Squadron pods, it is recommended to use our SQUADRON LOWERED BRACKETS.
 
PUSH BAR:
A modular push bar that bolts to the main upper tube of the bumper and sticks out an additional 2-1/4" past it allowing for mounting larger lights and giving the grill additional protection from impacts.
Has multiple mounting slots across the top (23" end to end on the slots) for mounting larger pod lights such as Diode Dynamics SS5's or Baja Designs LP4/6's. Or can mount a 20" lightbar.
Also allows for easier mounting of smaller pods such as SS3's or Squadrons while keeping the stock brackets.
Adds 5.5 lbs.
 
OTHER COOL FEATURES:
8 total mounting points.
Weighs in at roughly 47 lbs with hardware.
Uses 1/2" thick steel recessed shackle points directly welded to the frame mounts.
Has removable/replaceable lower aluminum cover/skid.
The top center two bolts for the aluminum cover are spaced 7" apart to double as license plate bolts.

REQUIRES TIE DOWN HOOP ON DRIVERS SIDE OF THE LOWER FRONT CROSSMEMBER TO BE REMOVED. This is not a tow hook and should never be used for recovery anyways.
Cutting of factory plastic bumper/ fender flares is required.
Works with TSS / cruise control sensor.
Currently will not work with body lifts while keeping it at the recommended height/cut line. You can still install, you will just have to cut the outer sides of the stock bumper lower by the same amount as your body lift. However there will be a gap left in the center below the grill, which you could possibly cover/fill with lights. A 1" body lift version will be available in the future.
Will work with suspension lifts at any height.

On raw steel orders there may be evidence of anti-spatter spray, oils, areas with light surface rust, small amounts of weld splatter, and shallow scratches caused during manufacturing and/or shipping.
On powdercoated orders, there may be evidence of scratches or rub marks caused during handling and/or shipping. There may also be scratches or weld splatter underneath the coating.
Powdercoat is NOT warrantied in any way! However we try our best to package appropriately to avoid any damage during transit.
